Mama Lou - American Strongwoman
This is a one-pager I did for Mama Lou, a street performer I met in Vancouver, and (allegedly) tracked down and harrassed in Montreal too. It was coincidence, I swear!!! :oP

Comic-Con '07 Sketches
Comic-Con was insane, crowded, scary, intimidating, and inspiring.
Little fish in a big pond syndrome hit me like a smack between the eyes. The amount of talent and tenacity on display was amazing! I spent most of my time hanging out in the small/independent press and artist alley sections of the main hall. As well as attending a few workshops on pitching ideas, and how to work for DC (I mustn't have been paying enough attention... oops). I got some great comics, and met some great people, but I found I had the best time when I succumbed to the inspiration, picked myself a spot of carpet in an out-of-the-way place, and drew, drew, DREW.
These are some of my favourite quick sketches. Characters, people walking by, etc. Comic-Con really made me sit up and realise that my year of pumping out quantity over quality meant I really needed to look at the way I did things.
It's a start...
And this here is a headshot of Nico from Runaways I got from current series artist, Michael Ryan. His originals blew me away, and he was giving out headshot sketches for FREE. Insane man.
